As an active-duty military owned company, this symbol holds significance for our brand. Dating back to the Revolutionary War period when it was originally referenced by Benjamin Franklin as the symbol of American spirit, this flag represented the American defiance as we fought for our independence.
Colonel Christopher Gadsden of the Continental Marines brought this flag out on the water for our country's first naval mission and presented it to the Commodore of the Navy to fly in the formation. Today, the Gadsden symbol is still worn as an official patch worn on the left shoulder of naval uniforms, and it pays homage to our forefathers who were bold and daring enough to fight for their independence and establish the freedoms we enjoy today.
Features:
- 60/40 combed ringpspun cotton/polyester
- 1x1 baby rib set-in collar and cuffs
- Drop shoulder sleeve
- Side seams
- Proudly printed locally in Virginia Beach, VA
